The video and film collection of this prominent American comedian contains over 300 videotapes and 23 films. The collection reflects Brenner'sinterest in documenting his television career and his early career as a documentary filmmaker. The documentaries include the following titles: Ingmar Bergman, On call: Dr. Amato, and The price we pay. The videotapes. document Brenner's career as a standup comic on The tonight show, Tomorrow show, Nightlife, and an unsuccessful television series, Snip. Most of these tapes are of poor quality, as they were recorded off the television by Brenner's father. Brenner's early documentary work is of interest.Brenner graduated from the Temple University journalism program during the early 1960s.
